We will never forget the lives taken in the senseless act of terrorism nineteen years ago today. Nor will we forget the bravery of those who risked it all to help – to save lives, to show up for each other. Their sacrifice stands as an example of the resilience and resolve of America, of overcoming hate with hope and division with connection. As Oklahomans we know the pain of tragedy and the power of coming together as a community to heal.
I will continue to work in Congress to ensure our heroes receive the recognition and support they deserve. I was proud to support the permanent extension of the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund last year, and will continue to advocate for our brave first responders.
