The Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR), also known as the International Transgender Day of Remembrance, is observed annually on November 20 as a day to memorialize those who have been a victim of criminal violence as a result of transphobia and to draw attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community.
Join us as we acknowledge transgender persons whom we have lost over the past year. Listen to members of our gender diverse community as they share their truths of being transgender and family members who have lost loved ones. Come out to get show your support for our gender diverse community for a celebration of life.
We will have a rally at Freedom Olahoma, then we will have a candle light vigil and walk down 39th street to Expressions Community Center (39th & Youngs) for closing comments and prayer. We will have a celebration of life party across the street at the Diversity Center of Oklahoma.
This event is free and open to all those who want to show their support to our community.
